For an upcoming project I need a “clean” ESP8266, and by clean I mean no tin lead on the connectors. I saw this module some while a go but didn’t need I really until now. For just €8 ($9) you can buy this ESP8266 programmer on Aliexpress free shipping! Let’s take a closer look.
ESP8266 Programmer
The programmer has Mirco USB Type B Plug for easy connection to your computer. The Programmer can Program the ESP-8266 module without soldering. It has Springs and it’s provides a connection to all I/O pin for the ESP8266 module. The onboard Reset button and Program button provides easy Programming of your ESP module. The ESP8266 Programmer also support ESP-12S/12F/12E/07S/07 Modules.
FRITZING PART
Because I always use the Fritzing app to illustrate the hardware setup of a new project, I need a new fritzing part for future setup’s. So after some designing in illustrator these are the end results.
ESP8266-12X
I redesigned ESP8266 Module to a more life like example. I also adjusted the connections pins so they now also connect to the Programmer.
ESP8266 Programmer
This board is entirely new, and build from the ground up. You can use alle connections in Fritzing as the real module provides. And you can ad my adjusted ESP8266 Module.
When you add the adjusted ESP8266 and the Programmer to your Fritzing app. You now can join these to as shown below.
Note: Because the ESP8266 module and the programmer don’t have the standard pin size of the Fritzing app you need to remove check mark at align to grid. You can find it under view.
